Our Story
Tattershall Pumpkin Patch, in Lincolnshire is a family affair, brought to you by the same team behind Tattershall Farm Park.
Our pumpkin story began back in 2019, when we introduced pumpkin picking as a school holiday activity for families visiting the farm park. Every child received a free pumpkin as part of their visit. What started as a small addition quickly became one of our most loved attractions.

Getting better every year
Year after year, the patch grew in popularity.
We added more pumpkins, more Autumn displays and more beautiful photo opportunities, and every Autumn we'd hear the same thing from visitors: they loved the pumpkins, but wished they could bring their dogs, older children, friends and family for a relaxed wander and a coffee without needing a farm park ticket.
How we've grown
Since then we've learned more about pumpkins that you could ever imagine!

2019
Our very first Pumpkin Patch within Tattershall Farm Park. Open for just 1 week in the school holidays

2023
We bought the field next door to the farm, built a bridge and started planning growing our own pumpkins and maize maze

2021
Our seasonal displays were awesome, and since Covid we opened the 'patch' for most of October but only Farm Park customers could experience it.

2024
We planted Pumpkin Plants. Crows became the enemy! We replanted pumpkin plants. Scarecrows became our friends and our Pumpkins grew, 'Pumpkin the Monster Truck' was born

2023
We trialled a 'dog friendly' Pumpkins & Pooches event but were limited to evening time

2025
Ice Phoenix Monster Truck, and some pretty epic tractors and farm machinery joined us, along with vintage fairground rides and a paint ball range! Pumpkin Nights went from strength to strength
2026 - Our Best Patch Yet!

2026 has been a real team effort. Together we've chosen the varieties, planted seeds, hand-hoed rows, hand weeded, harvested and filled hundreds of giant wooden bins with thousands of pumpkins and squashes. Our smallest squash fits in the palm of your hand, while you'd struggle to lift some of the largest that have grown.
We're already on our second home modified pumpkin planter, and every season so far has taught us something new. This years lesson after an experiment growing sunflowers, is 'whatever sunflowers the crows don't eat, the hares will'
The team behind Tattershall Pumpkin Patch

When you visit, you're likely to bump into plenty of the family behind it all. There's James – 'The Farmer' and the driving force behind the growing operation. You'll probably find me, Marie, doing a bit of everything. Tim, my father-in-law, is usually somewhere on a tractor or digger. Our Operations Director Alexis, (James' sister, my best friend and arguably the reason I married a farmer,) is also a familiar face, getting stuck in wherever she's needed.

My sisters Emma and Lisa are both a huge part of what we do. Emma is our self-appointed Pumpkin Princess and regularly ropes her husband Alex into helping.
Lisa runs the food truck on the pumpkin field as well as the cafés at Tattershall Farm Park.
Archie, Issy & Crafty Becs
You're also bound to meet Issy and Archie, who both seem to be always smiling, and along with a wonderful wider team, we have a collection of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members who help make the patch what it is.
Then there's Becs 'The Crafty One' and the artistic talent bringing our weirdest and wildest ideas to life. From the artwork, illustrations and little details that give our events their unique charm. Becs translates our imagination into reality - and if she's not designing something incredible, the rest of the year you'll find her as part of the welcome team in the gift shop at Tattershall Farm Park

Peace, Love & Pumpkins
